when you ignore someone’s friend request on facebook cause you don’t know her, never met her, only have four friends in common (random friends at that), and then she sends another friend request. get the hint won’t you? i’m not a socialite or a socialist or social so if i don’t want to be your “friend” quit asking! i’m only fb friends with people i’m real-life friends with

MUSIC FOR DECEMBER: Though I’d written down music since I was pretty young, this was the first piece of chamber music I wrote that was performed. It was for a composition class I took my junior year at Columbia. At the end of the semester, there was a concert held in the Graduate Student Lounge of Philosophy Hall, where the group ‘counter)induction’ performed the works of the students in the class. At one point you can hear a bus traveling up Amsterdam Avenue. This piece is for violin, viola, cello, and clarinet. If you want to download a pdf of the score, you can do so here.

There’s alot I could say about this piece of music, but I’ll save that for another entry. Hope you enjoy it.

wow. now i’m really considering taking music comp next semester. it’ll force me to sit down and actually write the blurps in my head

Wendy did a cover of Vampire Weekend’s Giving Up The Gun. Enjoy!

If you like it, then you should put a ring on it. Or a heart. Or just re-blog it.

my friends Wendy (okay we’re not really friends since i’ve never met them and really it’s just us following each other, but i like being friendly [sometimes]) did this cover and i actually quite enjoy it. there’s something real easy and unforced about their music that i like. generally if a band tries too too hard you can tell and for me it’s a major turn off. but these guys aren’t like that so we’re cool haha

montage of the clips i recorded at the Vampire Weekend show (front row!). i would’ve/could’ve recorded whole/more songs, but i was just too busy dancing!
